WWW Wednesdays (March 16)

by Notorious Spinks on 03.16.2011

To play along, just answer the following three (3) questions…

• What are you currently reading?
• What did you recently finish reading?
• What do you think you’ll read next?

What are you currently reading?

The Gateway: Discover the Power to Create an Outrageously Prosperous and Happy Life by Robert Sidell

The Freedom Writers Diary : How a Teacher and 150 Teens Used Writing to Change Themselves and the World Around Them (I must finish this book this weekend)

What did you recently finish reading?

The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey by Walter Mosley (the review will be up soon because I loved this book)

What do you think you’ll read next?

True You: A Journey to Finding and Loving Yourself by Janet Jackson
Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte (The Prissy Book Snob & I are reading this one together.  We’re doing 75 or 100 pages a week and chatting about it on Friday’s.)

I think I’m going to have a personal readathon this weekend.  If I can get 80% of my tasks done by Friday @ noon then I’ll order pizza and wings and read until I fall asleep.

Have a great week.

I am currently reading the Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks, and Peace and Plenty: Finding Your Path to Financial Serenity. I recently finished reading Peace from Broken Pieces by Iyanla VanZant. I am waiting to receive a copy of Bleeding Violet by Dia Reeves and The Saturday Big Tent Wedding Party by Alexander McCall Smith.

I started Henrietta Lacks. I need to go back to it.

I’m uber late responding to WWW, but here are my answers:

• What are you currently reading? Fools Rush In & The Freedom Writers Diary (Didn’t know you were reading this one too. What page are you on? We can discuss.)

• What did you recently finish reading? Girl in Translation by Jean Kwok (Review to be posted by Wednesday)

• What do you think you’ll read next? Safe Haven by Nicholas Sparks

P.S. True You was a good read, especially if you’re a Janet fan or have issues with your body image.

Girl I’m just on page 16. Pitiful! But I did read Friday night before going to bed. I read Yummy and started True You! I’ve been working so I haven’t been reading that much but I’m about to get my read on for about a hour now.

I want to read Girl in Translations so I’ll check out the review.

I haven’t read any of Sparks’ books yet but I’ve been seeing good reviews.

I love Janet but not in luv with Janet . LOL! I think we all kind of secretly have those issues of not enough or too much.

Wait. You’ve never read ANY of Sparks books? Ever? He is the master of love stories. You must read!

I finally got through Freedom Writers. The movie was much better and held my attention longer.
