Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
* Grab your current read
* Open to a random page
* Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page either in the comments below or on your own blog (give a link to your blog so we can check it out!)
* BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
* Share the title & author so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
Before production began, I was told two things: I was fat and needed to slim down, and because I was beginning to develop, I needed to bind my breasts. In both cases the message was devastating — my body was wrong. The message was also clear — to be successful, I had to change the way I looked.

And so begins Janet’s early acting career and life of confusion…
True Calico! It is good so far.
Interesting how different peoples lives can be from the way they appear to those of us on the outside looking in. This looks like one I’ll have to pick up.
Very good teaser. I will check it out. Looking at all those teassers only makes my tbr pile longer! So many books, so less time to read, so less space to keep!
Here is my Teaser Tuesday: Out At Night by Susan Arnout Smith post!
I know the feeling.
This looks like a really good book. You can find mine at The Bookish Snob Happy Reading!
Thanks for stopping by.
Powerful quote, thank you.
Hey Tea! I hope all is good!
Wow, those messages can set a young person up for a life of never feeling like she’s enough!
Sounds like a poignant read….
Here’s MY TT POST
That’s true. Now how do stop it?
Aw…sad teaser. Fame needs a lot of sacrifice 🙁
It is. We get privacy and they don’t.
Oh, this teaser reminds me of a book I read about a beauty pageant winner: Still Standing by Carrie Prejean (http://ourstack.blogspot.com/2010/07/still-standing-untold-story-about-my.html)
