Series Sunday is a new bookish meme hosted by Literary Marie of Precision Reviews. I encourage all of my fellow book bloggers and bookhearts to play along.
- Read an installment of a series.
- Post a review/recommendation on your blog, FB, Twitter, Goodreads, or Shelfari pages.
- Share your review/recommendation by posting the link in the comments section below.
- Include the title, author, and name of the series so that other Series Sunday participants can add the book to their TBR Lists.
Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins
is the second read in the Hunger Games Trilogy. This is my second time reading the book but I just can’t get enough of that Katniss Everdeen.
Catching Fire picks up in District 12 after Katniss and Peeta outsmart the Capitol in the Hunger Games. The president of Panem, President Snow is so angry that I could feel his blood boil through the book. Or was that the scent of blood on his breath when he visited Katniss in her home to let her know that he has her number.
There is so much I can say about this book but there is so much I will not say! But I will tell you to head over and get your copy today. I suggest you order all three (The Hunger Games, Catching Fire
& Mockingjay
) because all of them will leave you wanting for more. Also, if you’re an Amazon Prime member with a Kindle you can borrow them for free. Or, you can order the boxed hardcover set here, The Hunger Games Trilogy Boxed Set
.
However you get them, JUST GET THEM …
On another note, does anyone have Suzanne’s phone number because I need to call and beg her for a fourth book.
What did you love most about The Hunger Games? Or hate? Favorite character? Least favorite?

I loved the series!
I loved all three books in this series. My daughter has started reading them and I’m so excited to see the films with her!
I loved this series!!
Great blogger minds…
I can’t get enough of Katniss Everdeen either. This series was so good! I could also sense Snow’s vengeance and bloody breath through the pages.
My favorite characters are the main characters (in this order): Katniss, then Gale, then Peeta. If you get a hold to Suzanne’s phone number, please let her know that I co-sign your request for a fourth book. Please and thank you.
LOL! I know right. Also the movie giving Snow a face only made it worse when I read about his character because now in my book he has a face.
Although, Katniss has a face I still couldn’t see her as the actress in the movie but I did like her acting.
I can’t wait until Catching Fire is at the movie!!!!!!! Lawd!
I like the actress who plays Katniss. She did great with controlling her emotions and facial expressions. It helps that she is young and athletic too. Ooh, I cannot wait for the next movie!
